Lead Operations as an Assistant General Manager / Operations Manager in a One of a Kind Outdoor Facility

Take ownership of a highly visible, hands-on leadership role where your operational judgment directly shapes a safe, organized, and welcoming customer experience. As an Assistant General Manager / Operations Manager with Angeles Shooting Ranges Inc. in Sylmar, California, you will help lead day-to-day facility operations, support revenue and property management activities, and guide a dependable team. This is an excellent opportunity for a person with many years of experience as an Operations Manager, Facilities Manager, or Site Manager. We need a chief cook and bottle washer with extensive, hands-on experience running a small business, plus extensive experience in different kinds of shotgun shooting sports.

What You Will Do:

• Manage day-to-day operations of the Sporting Clays range.
• Help manage daily site operations, staffing coverage, customer service standards, and operational priorities across a busy outdoor facility.
• Support property management functions, including catering and putting on large events, along with financial documentation and accurate recordkeeping.
• Conduct regular facility inspections and coordinate preventive maintenance, general repairs, and improvements that keep the property clean, safe, and operational.
• Use your working knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning to identify maintenance needs and coordinate effective solutions.
• Coach employees, promote accountability, and help build a professional team culture centered on safety, service, and operational excellence.
• Assist with strategy development, budgeting, auditing, accounting support, and other business activities that strengthen site performance.

 

 

What You Bring:

• You have experience in operations management, facilities management, small business ownership / management, or a related leadership role.
• You can confidently balance customer service, event planning and scheduling, inspections, maintenance coordination, and customer focused operational responsibilities.
• You bring practical knowledge of preventive maintenance and general repair, with the ability to recognize plumbing, electrical, or HVAC concerns.
• You are organized and reliable, with strong documentation, finance, auditing, and follow through skills.
• You are an effective coach and communicator who can lead staff, make sound decisions, and maintain a professional presence on site.

Education and Additional Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and additional training in business, a long background in small business management, and a lot of outdoor experience, facilities, maintenance, or leadership is valued.
• A valid ability to drive for work related responsibilities is important for this in person role.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Earn an annual salary of $45,000 to $54,000 based on experience and qualifications.
