HR Manager, Practice Services Talent (MSO and DSO) Job at Physicians Revenue Group, Inc., Chicago, IL

  • Physicians Revenue Group, Inc.
  • Chicago, IL

Job Description

About us

Physicians Revenue Group, Inc. and its family of commonly held companies is a healthcare revenue cycle and practice services organization founded in 1997 and headquartered in Downers Grove, Illinois, with more than 3,000 team members serving medical and dental providers in more than 45 states. We're launching two new practice services businesses, a management services organization for medical practices and a dental support and practice services organization for dental practices and groups, and we need the people function that builds their teams.

The Opportunity

These new businesses need people the market does not produce on its own: revenue cycle managers who can run a book of practices, trainers who certify front offices, coders who know dental and medical, credentialing and compliance specialists, and the leaders above them.

We're hiring an HR Manager to own the people side of these programs end to end: full-cycle recruiting, workforce planning, compensation design for new roles, onboarding, and the hands-on generalist work, employee relations, policy, leave administration, and performance coaching, that keeps a growing team healthy. This is a dedicated, high-visibility role that works alongside our existing HR team and reports results directly to the executives sponsoring these programs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Build the hiring plan for two businesses that don't have a workforce yet. You decide who we need, when, and in what order.
  • Own full-cycle recruiting for roles this company has never hired for before, from revenue cycle managers to trainers to credentialing specialists.
  • Build our name in the dental and medical practice markets, so the best people in this space know who we are before we ever post a job.
  • Set the pay ranges and job architecture for every new role, decisions that will still be in place long after the first wave of hires.
  • Design the onboarding that turns a new hire into a productive team member in their first month, not their sixth.
  • Be the person people come to first: employee relations, leave, policy questions, the conversations that decide whether someone stays or leaves.
  • Coach leaders who have never managed before on how to set goals, document performance, and handle hard conversations without making them harder.
  • Listen to what engagement check-ins tell you, and act on it.
  • Report straight to the executives funding these businesses. Your numbers are the numbers they use to decide what is working.

Qualifications

Required

  • 6+ years in human resources, combining full-cycle recruiting with hands-on generalist responsibilities: employee relations, leave and accommodation administration, and policy interpretation.
  • Experience in healthcare services: dental support organizations, management services organizations, physician groups, revenue cycle or billing companies, or similar.
  • Full-cycle recruiting experience for operational and leadership roles, including structured interviewing and offer negotiation.
  • Experience designing roles, levels and pay ranges using market data.
  • Working knowledge of federal and Illinois employment law, including leave laws, pay transparency and background screening requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business or a related field.

Preferred

  • SHRM-CP, PHR or equivalent certification.
  • Experience standing up a talent function for a new business line or a fast-growing team.
  • Familiarity with dental or medical practice operations.
  • Experience with multi-state hiring and onshore and offshore team structures.
